Tree felling is sometimes necessary when a tree is diseased, dangerous, structurally unsound, or needs to be removed for construction or safety reasons. WK Arboriculture carries out professional tree felling and removal across all of Wirral and Chester, using techniques appropriate to the size of the tree and the constraints of the site.

Where space permits, we can fell a tree in a single controlled drop from ground level. In tighter urban environments — back gardens, driveways, or close to buildings — we work methodically from the top down, carefully lowering each section to the ground to avoid damage to your property or surrounding trees. This sectional felling technique requires skilled rope work and specialist equipment, and our team is fully trained and insured to carry it out safely.

All timber produced during felling can be removed from site, left as logs for firewood, or — where the timber has character and quality — milled on-site into planks for furniture or other projects. Stumps can be ground out on the same visit, leaving your garden tidy and ready for replanting or landscaping.

Before any felling work begins, we check whether your tree is subject to a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or located in a Conservation Area, both of which require council consent before removal. We can advise on this and help you through the application process if required.
